Privacy Policy

Last updated: 9 August 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how GET KNOWN PTY LTD (ABN 20 690 046 103), which trades as Get Known ("we", "us", "our"), collects, uses, stores and discloses personal information when you use Get Known (the "Service"). We handle personal information in accordance with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.

1. Information we collect

2. How we use your information

We do not sell your personal information.

3. Uploaded videos

Videos you submit for an audit are sent for transcription, scored, and then the video file is deleted. We retain the resulting text scorecard in your account history, not the video.

4. AI processing and confidentiality

Content you generate is automatically screened by a server-side filter that redacts certain sensitive names before output is returned, reducing the risk of confidential references leaking between users. You should still avoid submitting other people's confidential or personal information without authority.

5. Third parties (subprocessors)

We share limited data with trusted providers strictly to run the Service:

6a. What happens when you delete your account

You can export or delete your data at any time from your account settings. Deleting your account is immediate and cannot be undone. It removes:

What stays. If you contributed to a content calendar somebody else owns, the items and comments you left there belong to that team's record and remain in their workspace, with your name removed. Any photo or voice recording you uploaded there is deleted with your account. We also keep limited billing records where tax and accounting law requires it.

Your export contains everything we hold that is keyed to your account, as JSON. It lists your uploaded files but does not contain the files themselves, so download anything you want to keep before you delete.

6b. Data breaches

If we become aware of a data breach that is likely to result in serious harm to you, we will assess it promptly and, where the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme in Part IIIC of the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) applies, notify you and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner as soon as practicable. If you are in the EU or UK, we will also notify the relevant supervisory authority within 72 hours of becoming aware, as GDPR Article 33 requires.

7. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures, including password hashing, scoped access controls, and signature-verified payment webhooks. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information.

8. Your rights

You may access, correct, export or delete your personal information through your account, or by contacting us. If you are in the EU/UK, you also have rights under the GDPR; if you are in California, under the CCPA. To make a request or complaint, contact us below. You may also contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).

9. Cookies and storage on your device

We use a single essential session cookie to keep you signed in. We do not use third-party advertising cookies and we do not track you across other sites. The app also stores some things locally in your browser, which never leave your device unless you send them to us: your chat history, your last-used brain and answer strength, and interface preferences. Clearing your browser storage removes them.

10. Changes

We may update this policy and will notify you of material changes by email or in-app.
